About Luna Artistry

A more intentional focus on art was always part of my plan for retirement. My husband, Thomas, is a painter, and together we expanded our studio in Granville to create a place where I could join him in pursuing my own work more fully.

I have long been fascinated by glass—its color, luminosity, movement, and the transformation that takes place in the flame. Lampworking allows me to begin with something as simple as a rod of glass and, through heat and handwork, create something entirely individual. Every lampwork bead in my jewelry is made by me, one at a time in the flame.

As my work has evolved, I have brought together my love of glass with my beliefs and interests in women’s spirituality. Many of my pieces begin with an intention or idea—peace, well-being, abundance, love, creativity, strength, or transformation. Color, pattern, symbols, and materials are chosen to help express that intention.

I don’t expect a piece of jewelry to hold the same meaning for everyone. Part of its transformation occurs when someone chooses it and brings her own story, hopes, memories, or intentions to it.

My hope is simply that the pieces I create bring beauty, happiness, and a sense of intention to the women who wear them.

From flame to jewelry, each piece is made to become something uniquely your own.
